Hi to all Illawong Marlins Baseball Club members,

It’s that time of the year again when the club is starting to work on the formation of the teams for the upcoming 2024 Winter season, with Round 1 starting on 6th-7th April 2024.

Last year we had 6 teams, down from 7 in 2022. The 2023 winter season saw the Illawong Baseball Club entered teams in 1st, 3rd, 2x 5th, 6th and 7th grades. The 2023 season was an extremely successful one for the Marlins with 5 teams making the finals, and 3 of those teams making the Grand Finals, with two teams taking away the premiership (1st and 6th Grades).

The club also won the StGBA Club Championship; going “Back to Back to Back” Club Champions of fully played seasons (2019, 2021 and 2023). [no Club Championship awarded for 2020 due to COVID-19 and 2022 due to extreme wet weather)

This year we have 17 rounds planned for the season and hope to play most of these rounds without interruption. We hope you can join us for some fun, have a few after game (adult) refreshments, oh and there’s some baseball too.

PLEASE REMEMBER: Winter players must be 15 years old at the start of the season.

The Club always welcomes new players, no experience required. So, mums and dads let’s get excited and come show the kids how the old folks do it.
